Child’s Pose
Remember when we were young, and there was nothing but open runway in front of us?
When there was no hope, fears, and dreams - only dreams?
What have we learned as we we lived these years? What have we taken on that our inner child would question us on?
Where is the desire to be surprised?
Where is the need to learn something new?
When did we begin to fight being challenged and “stay in our own lane?”
How do we go back? How do we re-invite wonder into our lives? How do we look at strangers and smile - for no other reason than we want everyone to feel welcomed. Where can we re-ignite the freedom in our imagination to see opportunity and not excuses? What is needed to bring us back to our true center?
What medicine must we take to remind us of who we were back before we started taking ourselves serious? What tricks have we played on ourselves to believe this is the best way to live?
What good is fear if it holds us in place?
What good is to grow up if merely to do nothing of purpose?
What if we all said, enough!
What if we all decided this is no longer our path, and captained our childhood dreams into our worlds today?
What if we all said, “let’s play!”
I figure a Friday is as good of a day as any to start heading in the right direction.
And maybe the best thing you’ll find is you lose yourself adult self to the child you once were.
Because at the end of the day, if you’re not living, you really don’t have much to lose.
